Hello! I’m Chiquis, a proud Hawksbill turtle.

On May 31st, 2021, I was given my name by my godfather, Hugo Quintero. That day, I was captured by the Eco Alianza team in a feeding area of the Bahía de Loreto National Park.

They weighed me—11.4 kg, in case you were wondering—collected information about my growth, and then I was released back into the sea. All of this is part of a major conservation project that helps protect turtles like me. Although my sex is still undetermined, what I do know is that I’m contributing to the recovery of my species. Thank you for following our story closely!
