Hello! I’m Kimbo, a Hawksbill turtle.

On May 31st, 2021, I was given this name by Francisco Talamantes, my godfather. I was captured in the Bahía de Loreto National Park, where the conservation team works hard to protect my species.

I weigh 31.4 kg, and we still don’t know whether I’m male or female. After capturing me and collecting my data, I was tagged with an identification plate so my story could be tracked and my progress recorded. Then, I was returned to the ocean to continue my marine life. Thank you for your interest in my story and in the conservation of turtles!
