Hello! I’m Nieves, a Green turtle.

On October 23rd, 2021, I was captured in the Bahía de Loreto National Park as part of a conservation effort. My godmother, Brenda García, is the one who gave me my name.

I weigh 36 kg, and although it’s still unknown whether I’m male or female, I know I’m helping to protect my species. I was given a special tag with a unique number so I can be tracked if I’m captured again. After all of this, I was released back into the ocean. Thank you for your interest in my story and in the conservation of sea turtles!
