Hello! I’m Jesús, a Green turtle.

On July 26th, 2022, I was captured in the Bahía de Loreto National Park, and my godmother, Brenda García, gave me my name. I weighed 23.6 kg at that time, but they haven’t been able to determine whether I’m male or female yet.

An interesting fact about turtles like me is that, unlike many other animals, the sex of the hatchlings is not determined until they hatch, and it depends on the temperature of the sand! After my data was collected and I was tagged for registration, I was released back into the ocean. Thank you for your interest in our conservation and for supporting turtles like me!
