Hello! I’m Katarina, a Green turtle

and I was captured on April 29th, 2022, in the Bahía de Loreto National Park. My godmother, Jennifer Ruelas, is the one who gave me my name.

I weighed 33.75 kg when I was found, although it’s not yet known whether I’m male or female. Something interesting about turtles like me is that we can swim hundreds of kilometers in search of food or to find a place to nest. After being measured and fitted with an identification tag to track me in the future, I was released back into the ocean. Thank you for caring about turtle conservation and helping to protect my species!
