Hello! My name is Lenen, and I’m a Green turtle.

On June 29th, 2022, I was captured as part of the priority species conservation project in the Bahía de Loreto National Park, and my godmother, Brenda García, gave me this special name.

At that time, I weighed 49.3 kg, and although it’s not yet known whether I’m male or female, what is fascinating is that Green turtles like me can hold our breath for up to five hours underwater while we rest. After my data was collected and I was tagged with an identification tag, I was released back into the sea. Thank you for your interest in the conservation of turtles like me!
