Hello! I’m Banana, a Green turtle.

I was captured on October 5th, 2022, in the Bahía de Loreto National Park. My godmother, Irlanda Murillo, chose my name.

I weighed 48.7 kg at the time of my capture, and although it hasn’t been determined whether I’m male or female yet, an interesting fact about Green turtles is that we have a diet rich in seagrass and algae, which helps keep ecosystems healthy. After my data was collected and a tracking tag was attached, I returned to the ocean. Thank you for your interest in our conservation and for supporting turtles like me!
