Hello! I’m Coralina, a Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata).

I was captured on December 17th, 2024, in the feeding grounds of the Bahía de Loreto National Park as part of Eco Alianza de Loreto’s priority species conservation project. My sponsor, Carmen Castro, gave me my name, and during my last check-up, I weighed 58.4 kg. I’m a strong and healthy turtle!

As a Hawksbill turtle, I play an important role in the marine ecosystem by helping keep coral reefs healthy as I feed on sponges and other species. Thanks to the project’s monitoring, they can protect us better and understand how to care for us so we can continue fulfilling our role in the ocean. I hope that if you ever visit these waters, you’ll think of me and send a wave from the surface!
