Hello! I’m Lucky, a Hawksbill turtle

I was captured on March 19th, 2024, in the Bahía de Loreto National Park. My godmother, Priscila Conde, chose this name, which makes me feel lucky.

I weighed 39.2 kg at the time of my capture, and although it’s not yet known whether I’m male or female, something interesting about Hawksbill turtles is that our shells are unique, with patterns resembling works of art. After they measured me and attached a tracking tag, I returned to the ocean. Thank you for taking care of us and supporting the conservation of turtles like me!
