Hello! I’m Mocha, a Hawksbill turtle.

I was captured on April 30th, 2024, in the Bahía de Loreto National Park. My godfather, Francisco Talamantes, gave me this name because I’m missing my right flipper, but that doesn’t stop me.

I weighed 12.8 kg at the time of my capture, and although it hasn’t been determined whether I’m male or female yet, an interesting fact about us Hawksbill turtles is that we have the ability to adapt to different conditions in the sea. After being measured and tagged for tracking, I returned to the ocean. Thank you for supporting our conservation and protecting turtles like me!
