Hello! I'm Esperanza Loretana, a Green turtle (also known as Prieta or Chelonia mydas).

I was captured on April 23, 2025, in the Bahía de Loreto National Park as part of the priority species conservation project by Eco Alianza de Loreto. My name was given to me by my sponsor, Lizeth Torres, and during my last check-up, I weighed 12.1 kg.

Although my sex is still undetermined, I feel lucky to have received care from the Eco Alianza team — they found 60 barnacles on my carapace and 22 more on my plastron! Fortunately, the team helped clean them off carefully, so now I can swim more freely and stay healthy.

If you ever visit these waters, be sure to send me a wave from the surface!
