Hello! I'm Ali, a Green turtle
I was captured on July 30, 2026, in the Bahía de Loreto National Park as part of the priority species conservation project led by Eco Alianza de Loreto. My name was given to me by my sponsor, Francisco Talamantes, and during my first check-up, I weighed 35.6 kg.
Although my sex is still undetermined, I am now part of the monitoring program that helps researchers better understand our health and protect sea turtles. My shell measures 66 cm in straight carapace length and 52.7 cm in width, and each future check-up will allow the team to follow my growth.
As a Green turtle, I spend much of my time grazing on seagrass, helping keep these important coastal ecosystems healthy. If you ever visit these waters, you might be lucky enough to spot me swimming peacefully through the seagrass meadows! 🌊🐢
