Hello! I'm Bby Fer, a Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata).
I was captured on July 30, 2026, in the Bahía de Loreto National Park as part of the priority species conservation project led by Eco Alianza de Loreto. My name was given to me by my sponsor, Andre Garayzar, and during my first check-up, I weighed 18.3 kg.
Although my sex is still undetermined, I am now part of the monitoring program that helps researchers better understand our health and growth. My shell measures 21.2 cm in straight carapace length and 16.3 cm in width, and each future check-up will help the team follow my development in the ocean.
As a Hawksbill turtle, I spend much of my time exploring coral and rocky reefs, where I find both food and shelter. I hope to grow strong and continue swimming through these beautiful waters for many years to come! If you ever visit the Bahía de Loreto National Park, you might be lucky enough to spot me swimming among the reefs! 🐢🌊
