Hello! I’m Christina, a Green turtle

I was captured as part of the sea turtle monitoring program in the Bahía de Loreto National Park, where the Eco Alianza de Loreto team works to care for us and better understand our life in the ocean. My name was given to me by my sponsor, Christine Perko, and during my last check-up, I weighed 27.9 kg.

Although my sex is still undetermined, this monitoring helps ensure that I am healthy. My shell measures 57 cm in straight carapace length and 46.9 cm in width, reflecting my growth in these waters.

As a Green turtle, I spend much of my time feeding and exploring the sea, playing an important role in this amazing ecosystem. If you ever visit these waters, you might find me swimming peacefully beneath the waves!
